Word From the Athletes

“2024 will be my third time there! There is a lot that I loved about the Spring Games, but I especially loved the ability to play against colleges from all over the nation that I would have never otherwise played against. My college is in Wisconsin, but I was able to play against a friend from Massachusetts, for example. These are memories that I would never be able to have without this tournament. I am looking forward to creating many new memories this year at the Spring Games. After looking at the schedule, I noticed that I will once again be playing against a far-away friend! I am excited to play against her team, but I am also excited to be able to perform on a stage that’s bigger than the one back home.” said by Maddie Votsis a junior from Wisconsin-Lutheran College

“This season, I am looking forward to playing against better teams. It is my last season with my girls, and I am excited to get out there and finish on a high note. The competition we are playing this season is higher than any year before. It will push us to be our best, and we will have to prove that we deserve to be where we are. After my freshman season, I never would have expected that we would win our conference the next year. After that season, I expected us to win our conference every year after. Each year, we have gotten better, and the stakes have gotten higher. This season, I am ready to go win our conference and go further than we have before. We have never played at the spring games, but based on our current schedule, we will be playing against better competition. The teams we have played during our past two spring break trips have been good, but this year, it is up a notch. I like that our coaches were able to decide that we would be playing higher competition. As everyone knows, we will be playing Trine once again, but it is for our benefit. I think this will push us to our limits and will show us that we will only benefit by playing the best. I am so excited for my senior season, and I am ready to get out there and get to it!” Said by Kayla Gratton Senior from Waynesburg State University
